One of our patients brought a box of doughnuts to the Clinic today. On the top of the box was a handwritten note saying, “Thank you, Good Samaritan Clinic. I’ll never forget your kindness.”
Nina will not be a patient here anymore. She celebrated her 65th birthday today, so she is now eligible for Medicare. Good Samaritan Clinic does not provide treatment for patients with Medicaid or Medicare.
Nina first came to the Clinic more than five years ago. At that time, she had left her full-time job to become a caretaker for her husband. He passed away two and a half years ago. They were married for 47 years.
When the local newspaper ran a series of articles about the Clinic in late 2007, Nina was featured in one of the stories.
We will all miss her, but we’re glad we could help when she needed some help.
Happy Birthday, Nina!
