Here comes Christmas!

We at Good Samaritan Clinic are gearing up for our “Pictures with Santa” Fundraiser. It will be held Saturday December 3rd, 10th and 17th from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m, we will be located at 213 North 6th Street in St. John’s Skinner Building.Families will be able to purchase a cd with their pictures on them for only $7. We at the Good Samaritan Clinic are wishing you all a very happy fall! We have been very busy at the clinic, having had 547 patient visits for the month of September. We will also begin administering flu shots October 1st. If you would like more information about the services we are currently offering, or would like more information about becoming a patient, give us a call at (479)783-0233.

The Good Samaritan Clinic staff would like to thank everyone for their participation in our first ever “Bike for Health Poker Run.” It would not have been a success without such kind volunteers and participants!

We are excited to announce several up and coming fundraisers!

We will be hosting a booth at Holiday Market; November 17th,18th and 19th. We are sharing our booth with the wonderful creative team;Angie Crook and Geri Schwarz,from specialty children’s shop Cotton and Clover. They have generously offered to give us a percentage of each sale made during holiday market! This is going to be such a wonderful oppurtunity for us to encourage others to join in our mission of providing healthcare for those in need.

We are also excited for the debut of our Good Sam Cards. The Good Sam Cards will be valid for the entire year of 2012 and will act as a discount card to several beloved local businesses. These cards will be distributed to our donors as a thank you and will be sold at some of our fundraising events.

Be on the lookout for our annual “Shine your Light” campaign, these will be distributed the week before Thanksgiving.

And last but not least we are gearing up for our first ever “Pictures with Santa” We will be hosting this event at the Skinner Building, Saturdays, December 3rd, 10th, and 17th from 12-3:30 p.m. Each family will be able to have multiple pictures taken and placed on a cd for only $7. There will also be several festive things for kids to enjoy!

Bike for Health Poker Run

We will be hosting our first annual “Bike for Health Poker Run” Saturday, September 17th, at 9:00 a.m. This is a 190 mile run, starting from the Good Samaritan Clinic and ending at our final destination, the Old-Fort Harley Davidson Store. There will also be 3 stops in between on this beautiful route where refreshments will be served. There is a $1,000 prize for first place and $500 prize for second place. The entry fee is $25, only $20 for early registration and $10 for each additional hand. Shine Your Light

Today is the beginning of Good Samaritan Clinic’s annual Shine Your Light appeal.

I hope you’ll consider giving a gift to the Clinic in the name of someone you love.

Free medical care for a day?

Are you awake?

I don’t want to be political. I don’t know what the answer is.

I DO know that people are literally dying because they don’t have access to affordable health care. We see it every day.

Good Samaritan Clinic cares for uninsured people without help from the government. We survive on private donations. We are a member of the National Association of Free Clinics.

Many of our patients haven’t been to a doctor for 10 years… or even 20.

Help them.
